New year New Me! (and new make up!)

Happy New Year!

Over Christmas and New year i added some new pieces to my collection. Some of these were presents and some were self indulged by myself.

These included some more MAC eye shadows for my palette. My first Mac Lipstick from my sister (a fellow MAC lover).

In my last post before Christmas, I explained  that I had a MAC makeover. It wasn't a official MAC stock seller. Thank fully i had only bought  a eye shadow palette from her. It turned out this was counterfeit. I reported the women to trading standards and to MAC. It wasn't  just for my safety but the others buying it. MAC were very helpful and pleased with my email to them. I sent them the counterfeit palette and in return I received a free 4 pro palette and 4 colours to put in them :D
I've now put these colours in my 15 pro palette and will add to my 4 pro palette very shortly.

Here is my 15 pro palette

When moving them from my 4 pro palette I slightly damaged them :(
Only two spaces to fill. I am going to add some very dark colours that I can use for my eye brows.

Here is the MAC lip stick I got

The lip stick is in shade Crème Cup. Its part of the Cremesheen Lipsticks.

A lovely soft pink, it gives a lovely finish. I sometimes might add a lip gloss to this ( Stila as pictured above) in grapefruit. This Lip glosses are part of a limited edition pack i bought from Boots.

As well as Stila lip glosses i also bought one of there palettes

I haven't used it yet, but colours look so amazing. It comes with a little book of how to do some looks with the colours. I will experiment with the colours and book and upload a photo.

Being January is a very quite for make up artists. They try get people to book make overs and make there month less quiet.

Well I booked one with Benefit. I had a gift voucher to use in the department store. which worked a treat! I bought a foundation and a concealer (pictured below). On a previous occasion I had a bought there primer, their amazing 'they're real' mascara and a blusher quad. (all pictured below)

I do love the packaging for brand, i try and keep in it. so much easier to find in my make up draw!

The foundation is really nice coverage. I don't feel I have to put loads on, like when i use liquid foundation.

The concealer is again a very good coverage. It blends well with the foundation.

The mascara is really easy to use. I had so many compliments as work with it. When i told them it was made by Benefit, they were very surprised.

Here is the blusher/ bronzer

To start of with:
*firstly start of with the top peachy colour on your cheek bone
*then use a blend of the peach, the pinks (top, right and bottom) to a '3' shape (make sure to blow off any access of your brush!)
*to finish use a bit of the darker colour (left)

This is how the Benefit make up artist showed me how to use this.

I hope this is any help to anyone. Any queries  or questions, just leave a comment below

much love
